Description
The legend—mythology and mythical universe, which may be recognized as the origin of the artistic idea and the culture of the writing—has appeared in ancient times. The intellectual ones have created a fascinating genre named the epics (tuuli) which describes wonderful stories of the warriors of their tribe. For the origin of the word “tuuli” is the same as the modern Mongolian word “tuuji – tuubiqqu” and for the terminology, it has found its shape very lately. Many scholars have studied Mongolian epics, and their scientific works were only on the heroic epics for the last hundred years. However, the genre of the heroic epics has been found and researched almost alone, but nowadays it is necessary to study and to research more precisely in detail on the epics, on the ancient legends, which may hold some fact of the “tuuli”, the epics of the animals. Some evidence of the “tuuli” of the animals has been inherited in Mongolian folklore. These stories of the animals are connected closely with the legend—the epics on the one side, the heroic epics (baatarlag tuuli), and the folk tale on the other side. The main factor of the research in the field of deeper investigation is to research every branch, every part, to discover its transformation, progress, and relationship between them.
