Description
The article is devoted to one of the important topics of lexicology—the review of the lexicon representing the names of games on the example of the material of the Vakhan Tajik dialect, which has not yet been fully researched scientifically.
On the basis of the existing traditions of analysis and research of dialectal materials, taking into account the features of the area and some distinctive aspects of ethnic Tajik speakers of the Vakhan Valley, the names of the games are divided into 3 groups: seasonal games (lash game, plindjuk (sangchil), kishk, shali, pinokonik ice game), ritual games (mongol game, dangonbachek), and sports games (wrestling/wrestling). Also, depending on the participation of the players, they are divided into individual and two-person (rockball, volleyball) and group (team) (ballball, cricket), as well as depending on gender—female (rockball), male (lashball, chuklok), and children (pinokonik). It is obvious that dialect words have a reserve importance for improving the vocabulary of literary language. From this point of view, it is important to review the topic and report the issue.
