Description
The target issue of the author's research in this article is the rituals and traditions of Navruz in the Ishkashim region of Badakhshan in Tajikistan. Along with providing information on the methods of conducting the rituals of Navruz, the symbols and significance of this holiday are interpreted in the context of the way of life of the people in Wakhan. The author attempted to describe in detail the traditional rituals of Navruz that are gone into the past and show their historical essence in the culture and life of people in Wakhan. In order to record and preserve the traditional rituals of Navruz of the Wakhan Valley, the author, resorting to a descriptive method, comprehensively analyzes the traditions of Navruz of this region. The customs of the inhabitants of the Wakhan Valley have survived from ancient times, and they have not lost their cultural significance.
During the interpretation and analysis of Navruz rituals and ceremonies, the author came to the conclusion that the Navruz holiday has its own customs and traditions since ancient times, which, of course, from district to district, from region to region, has acquired specific differences for that place. Our ancestors welcomed and honored Navruz as the first harbinger of auspicious spring, the rebirth of nature and the beginning of planting. In this way, people welcomed the new year with a clean and orderly house and door, clean clothes, and a clean spirit and thoughts. Researching and noticing these symbols and secrets led us to the wisdom and true essence of Navruz, to the issues of the relationship between man and nature, and to the moral sources and beauty of the people in the culture of the Tajik people, shedding light.
