Description
This article covers an analysis of the issue of traditional legal norms, including the rights of the bride and groom during a wedding ceremony in Shughnan, Tajikistan. In the course of the analysis of scientific works on the issue of wedding ceremony traditional norms, as well as personal observations of the authors, it is concluded that the tradition of presenting kalym (ransom) in the region of Central Asia is, on the one hand, a general regional characteristic, but on the other hand, among the people in Shughnan, this custom has not taken place since ancient times. However, some ethnographers mention the existence of some kalym's (ransom) elements.
