Description
The eighth volume of "Encyclopedie of the Tajik Folk Culture" is dedicated to the field of crafts and traditional professions of Tajiks. It provides brief information about the types of professions and crafts that were popular in the past, and some of them have reached our days. The book is decorated with photos and illustrations related to certain crafts and occupations, and at the bottom of the book are attached the pamphlets of traditional crafts. The treatises were written in the past centuries, each dedicated to one craft. In theses, work procedures, manners, and details of the same craft are given, and in the past they served as regulations of the same profession and craft. Ethnographers, anthropologists, folklorists, art historians, cultural experts, literary scholars, historians, archaeologists, musicologists, and others contributed to the writing of these encyclopedic articles.
