Description
The traditional classical music of Central Asia is associated, first of all, with the tanbur, dutar, and doira. Varieties of these tools are known among the Central Asian people. But in their timbre-acoustic device, in melodies and rhythms, as well as in the picturesque frescoes of Afrasiab, in the azure mosaic of mosques and minarets of Bukhara and Khiva, the originality of the musical spirit of this region is expressed. It is known that the musical culture of the peoples of Central Asia consists of two large strata: settled and nomadic. Their direct connection in many respects gives rise to the originality of the way of life and culture of the peoples of the region. The music of urban and nomadic traditions, with all the close interaction, has many noticeable differences.
