Description
This textbook is dedicated to the musical culture of the XX-XXI centuries, the work of composers of Uzbekistan, the best representatives of which were V. Uspensky, M. Burkhanov, S. Yudakov, I. Akbarov, R. Abdullaev, Kh. Rakhimov, M. Bafoev, F. Yanov-Yanovsky, and A. Mansurov. The names of these composers are associated with the origin and development of polyphonic art, genres, and forms that combined national and Western traditions. The author highlighted the main milestones in the development of the main genres of musical art and focused on certain personalities who made a great contribution to their development. Brief information about their work is provided, and the most famous works are analyzed. At the end of each block devoted to one composer, questions and assignments for seminars are proposed. At the end of the book, there are tests on some topics. When creating the book, the author relied on the experience of many years of teaching the subject “Uzbek Music” at the RSMAL named after. V. Uspensky, as well as teaching the course “History of Music” and “Methods of Teaching Musical Historical Disciplines” at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. This publication is a continuation of the textbook “Uzbek Music” (Tashkent, 2010) and is intended for students of higher musical institutions.
