Description
This article talks about the folk epic as a cultural heritage in Uzbekistan and its epic traditions. About the content and form of dastans, based on traditions that have developed over the centuries. Detailed information is given about the varieties of dastans and schools of legends in Uzbekistan. It tells about the activities of the folk bakhshish of Abdunazar Poenov (Surkhandarya) and Kalandar Normatov (Khorezm). The folk epic, the epic narrative, is represented by the genre of dastan (“dastan” means “tale,” “story,” “praise,” or “adventure”), including both poetic and prose elements, accompanied by music.
