Description
The article is devoted to the ethnography of meals given in English translations. Methodology: Most Uzbek rituals possess a national dish. It became a tradition to prepare a special meal for various ceremonies, be it a wedding ceremony, lament tradition, or religious. Results: Several translation sources are comparatively analyzed, and conclusions are drawn. Specific ceremonial meals and their types are investigated and contrasted as well. The ethnologists and translators utilize three ways of depicting ethnographisms: transliteration, giving definitions, and translations. Conclusion: With the efforts of foreign ethnologists and translators, readers get information about Uzbekistan's national meals in the English language, which causes admiration not only from locals but also from foreign scientists, ethnologists, and anthropologists.
