This article is about the particular and general features of calligraphy schools in Bukhara during the late 19th and the start of the 20th centuries, where hundreds of talented calligraphers, such as Sufi Bukhari, Nizamiddin Bukhari, who discovered the “noxun” style of writing, Domlo Bobobek, who opened a calligraphy school depending on natural beauties, Sharifjon Mahdum Sadr Ziyo, who spent his life collecting thousands of valuable manuscript works, and others who lived and studied there.
