Description
A film about the making of a ceremonial bark belt called baeago in Koroba, a Huli-speaking area of Hela Province (formerly Southern Highlands Province). The belt is constructed out of bark and vines. The film starts with the weaver collecting materials in the forest and ends with a demonstration of how the finished belt is used by dancers during festive occasions. The weaver is Baigo Ibira.
